Jacob Gramegna, Men's Soccer
Laurentian Athletics is proud to announce that Voyageurs soccer player, Jacob Gramegna (Mississauga, ON), has been named the Perkins Male Athlete of the Week.
Gramegna, a 1st year Sports Administration major, broke out offensively this weekend with his first two points of the season coming in a big upset win over the #9 team in the country, the Toronto Varsity Blues. Gramegna opened the scoring late in the first half and then followed that up by assisting on the game winner in the second. The win puts the Voyageurs in a tie for third place in the OUA East Division with just two games remaining in their regular season schedule and only one point separating the third to sixth place teams.
Gramegna and his teammates close out the regular season at home this weekend as they welcome the UOIT Ridgebacks (Saturday) and Trent Excalibur (Sunday) to LU Soccer Field. Game times are set for 2:15pm.
