Kadre Gray, Men's Basketball
Laurentian Athletics is proud to announce that Voyageurs guard, Kadre Gray (Toronto, ON) has been named Perkins Male Athlete of the Week.
Gray, a 4th year Health Promotion student, spearheaded the Voyageurs’ upset of #4 Ottawa on Friday night, tallying a game high 35 points on 10-20 shooting and went 10-11 from the free throw line. Gray also grabbed five rebounds, dished out four assists and had a couple of steals as the #9 Voyageurs knocked off the Gee-Gees 78-65.
On Saturday, against the top-ranked Carleton Ravens, Gray once again was the night’s leading scorer as he notched 21 points, going 6-14 from the field and 7-8 from the line, while adding five rebounds and four assists in the 95-69 defeat.
Gray and his teammates will be back on the court on Jan. 17th at 8pm when they head across Highway 17 for a 705 Challenge Cup battle with the Nipissing Lakers.
