Ellery Veerman, Women's Hockey

Laurentian Athletics is proud to announce that Voyageurs hockey player, Ellery Veerman (Charlton, ON), has been named the Perkins Female Athlete of the Week.

Veerman, a 4^th year Nursing student, led the Voyageurs to four of a possible six points this weekend.  Just six months out from ACL reconstructive surgery, Veerman assisted on the tying goal at Waterloo on Thursday in a game they would eventually lose in a shootout.  The next night in Windsor, Veerman assisted on the opening goal before notching the winning goal and an insurance marker in a 4-1 defeat of the Lancers. 

Veerman and her teammates are now in the exam break and will return to the ice in January when they host the Queen’s Gaels and UOIT Ridgebacks on the 6^th and 7^th.
