Shanna Dolighan, Women's Hockey
Laurentian Athletics is proud to announce that Voyageurs hockey player, Shanna Dolighan (Oshawa, ON), has been named the Perkins Female Athlete of the Week.
Dolighan, a 1st year Sport and Physical Education/Concurrent Education student, led the Voyageurs to a weekend sweep over the Laurier Golden Hawks and Western Mustangs. On Saturday, Dolighan shut the door on the Golden Hawks, turning aside all 15 shots she faced to record her first career shutout in a 1-0 win.
On Sunday, Dolighan equally as sharp as she stopped 24 of the 25 shots fired her way, helping to down the Mustangs 2-1. She now has a record of 5-0 on the season to go alongside a 1.20 GAA and a .954 save percentage.
Dolighan and her teammates now get set to host York on Sunday afternoon at 1:50pm.
