Gabby Jex, Women's Hockey

Laurentian Athletics is proud to announce that Voyageurs forward, Gabby Jex (Chatsworth, ON) has been named Perkins Female Athlete of the Week.

Jex, a 2^nd year Forensic Science student, provided the Voyageurs with an offensive spark in their come from behind victory on Friday.  Down 2-0 in the second period against the Queen’s Gaels, Jex set-up captain Annie Sheridan to cut into the lead.  With just 1:36 remaining in the game, Jex buried the equaliser to send the game to overtime where Michele Weaver-Vitale would complete the comeback.

Jex and her teammates will be back on the ice on Jan. 11th at 7:30pm when they head across Highway 17 for a 705 Challenge Cup battle with the Nipissing Lakers.
