After a loss to the Golden Hawks, Laurentian looked to get back on track tonight as they faced off against the University of Waterloo Warriors.
With a slow first half this didn't seem likely for the visiting team, as they trailed by 19 points going into halftime. But the Voyageurs came out with a surge of energy going into the third quarter, outscoring the Warriors 21-16. Unfortunately this energy didn't seem to transfer over to the final quarter, as the Voyageurs ultimately fell 96-81 .
Leading contributor for the Voyageurs was third year guard Kadre Gray who had 29 points and 5 assists in the match. Fifth year guard JD West added 12 points as he shot 67% from long range.
Top scorer for the Warriors was Nedim Hodzic with 23 points.
The Voyageurs will head back north to get ready for their final games of the first semester as they face off against the Windsor Lancers and the Western Mustangs next weekend on home court.
