The Voyageurs looked to get back on the winning track tonight as they faced off against the 5-6 York University Lions on home court.
It was clear that the home team was ready to go right out of the gate, with a big 33 point opening quarter fueled by three point shooting. Maintaining this precision for the duration of the game, Laurentian ultimately able to pull away with the win 111-80 victory over York as they shot 61.5% from behind the arc and 53.4% overall.
Leading contributor for the Voyageurs was fifth year guard Anthony Iacoe who racked up 24 points as he shot 70% from long range. Third year guard Kadre Gray added 23 points and seven assists in the victory.
Top scorer for the Lions was Prince Kamunga with 22 points.
Laurentian will look to keep this energy going throughout the week and into next weekend's game, where they'll face the Carleton Ravens and the University of Ottawa Gee-Gees on home court.
