MBB | Ravens Methodically Pull Away from Voyageurs

It was a tough match up for the Voyageurs, as they took on the top ranked 12-0 Carleton Ravens tonight in the Ben Avery Gymnasium. Despite the Raven's successful record, Laurentian looked to carry their energy from last week's win into tonight's match up.

Laurentian came out of the gate strong in a competitive opening quarter where each team exchanged buckets with the Voyageurs holding a one point lead after 10 minutes. However, Carleton harnessed an energy in the second quarter that saw them head into halftime with a six point lead.  They were able to ride that energy for the duration of the game, ultimately resulting in a 83-55 victory in the visiting team's favour.

Top contributor for the Voyageurs was third year guard Kadre Gray with 23 points. Third year forward Litha Ncanisa added 10 points of his own in the loss.

Leading scorer for Carleton was Isiah Osborne with 25 point.

The Voyageurs will look to shake off the loss and refocus as they prepare for tomorrow's match up against the seventh ranked University of Ottawa Gee-Gees at 8pm on home court.
