Laurentian matched up against the second-ranked Ryerson University Rams tonight at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto. Looking to keep their momentum from last Saturday's win alive, the Voyageurs were hoping to dethrone the high ranking Rams.
The opening quarter was a competitive one, as each team traded baskets. However, the Rams were able to break away in the second hitting back to back shots in the opening minutes which propelled them into a double-digit lead. This ultimately resulted in a 91-68 Rams win.
Leading contributor for the Voyageurs was third year guard Kadre Gray with 27 points and 9 rebounds. Third year guard Josis Mikia-Thomas added 11 points of his own in the loss.
Top scorer for the Rams was JV Mukama with 25 points.
The Voyageurs will look to reconvene and refocus as they prepare for tomorrow's game against the University of Toronto Varsity Blues at the Goldring Center.
