Bio

Coach Brousseau is entering his 4th season as Head Coach for the Men’s Golf Team after spending a year as Assistant Coach under Paul Schweyer in 2011. Brousseau worked as a golf professional at one of Canada’s top 100 ranked courses – National Pines Golf Club in Innisfil, Ontario from  2007-2010 before he came to Sudbury to be the Assistant Golf Professional at the Idylwylde Golf & Country Club and attend Laurentian University.

Brousseau turned pro shortly after graduating from the three year Business Administration-Professional Golf Management program at Niagara College and became a member of the PGA of Canada in 2009. He has competed in many Ontario PGA & Northern Ontario PGA events and has also completed the Teaching and Coaching Certification Programs that have helped him instruct golfers of all ages and calibers.

Since graduating as a Commerce student in 2013, coach Brousseau has given up his status as a member of the PGA of Canada to pursue full time employment with Laurentian University and is also currently completing his Masters of Business Administration (MBA). Although he no longer works as a professional, Brousseau has regained his amateur status and continues to be a competitive player in events across the province, including qualifying to compete in the 2014 Ontario Men’s Amateur last summer.

Brousseau looks to bring forward his expertise to grow the golf program at Laurentian and lead the Voyageurs to a Canadian University/College Championship.
