MHKY | Voyageurs' Season Ended by McGill in Montreal

On Saturday night, the Voyageurs men's hockey team had their season ended, losing the second game in a best 2-of-3 first round playoff series. 

Both teams were neck and neck in the first period, exchanging chances back and forth. McGill struck first at 3:35 off the stick of Guillaume Gauthier. The Vees responded before the period ended, with the tying tally coming from Graham Yeo on the power play. Richard Therrien and Dylan Fitze assisted on the play. 
McGill got out to the early lead in the second period and continued to dominate, scoring three goals in 14 minutes. The goals came from Delisle-Houde twice and a second from Delisle-Houde. The Vees were unable to answer in the period. 
The Redmen continued to pile it on in the third period, scoring twice more before Dylan Fitze scored their second goal of the night and the final tally of the season. 
McGill would add one more, effectively ending the Voyageurs season with a 7-2 win and a 2-0 series sweep. The Voyageurs will be looking to have a strong summer of development and recruitment and get back on the saddle next season looking to build off progress made this year.
