The Laurentian Voyageurs played their rematch against the York Lions this Saturday, October 27th evening.
The Vees had lost the contest against the Lions on Friday night and were hoping to come out of tonight with one win and one loss on the weekend.
Unfortunately, the Voyageurs were ill prepared and out played offensively by the Lions as they were able to net a total of 7 goals against the Voyageurs.
Laurentian was able to land shots offensively though, as they planted a total of 42 shots against the Lions Mack Shields but they were unable to beat the hot goaltender as he turned away all 42 shots. Mackenzie Savard was the Voyageurs choice of the night as he faced a total of 32 shots for the night but eventually came out under the Lions.
The Lions were firing on all cylinders as they scored a total of seven goals, notable mentions go to Reid Jackman as he was able to put up three of the seven goals as well as Sal Filice who scored two of the seven goals as well. In the assist category Stefan Pezetta led with both two assists and a goal.
The Voyageurs will look to improve this Halloween as they play the Nipissing Lakers at home at 7:35pm and improve their record to 2-5 after a tough weekend in Toronto.
