Bio

Coach Schweinbenz enters her 9th year at the helm of the men’s and women’s rowing programs. She began the rowing team at Laurentian in 2006 and since then has produced CIS and OUA champions as well as internationally ranked rowers and a world record holder.

Schweinbenz began her rowing career at Leander Boat Club in Hamilton. She was a varsity rower at Western University during both her undergraduate and graduate degrees and also rowed at UBC while completing her doctorate in Human Kinetics. In 2006, she was hired as a faculty member in the School of Human Kinetics at Laurentian University. Along with her Voyageur head coaching duties, is also the coach coordinator for the Sudbury Rowing Club where she facilitates the high school, junior, U23 and youth-at-risk programs.

Most recently, Schweinbenz was selected by ROWONTARIO to attend the 2014 Women In Coaching National Coach Workshop.
