MSOC | Voyageurs Season Ends in Kingston

The Voyageurs men's soccer season came to an end tonight after a 1-0 loss at the hands of the Queen's Gaels.

The first half saw many scoring opportunities for the Gaels; a direct result of their high rate of possession. However, like he had done all season long Laurentian keeper Connor Vande Weghe prevented any first half goals. The Gaels thought they had taken the lead early, but the goal was ultimately called back on an offside. The Voyageurs had a goal chance of their own off a free kick in the 20th minute, but to no avail.

Following the break, the Gaels finally managed to put one past Vande Weghe, on a strike from Andrew Martin. Though LU kept up the pressure on Queen's, in the end they were unable to grab the equalizer.
Despite the loss, the Voyageurs 20 points and fifth place finish was their best regular season outing of the past three seasons.
