MSOC | Voyageurs Clinch the Riley Gallo Cup
The Laurentian University Men's Soccer team clinched the Riley Gallo Cup on Saturday thanks to a 1-0 road victory over the rival Nipissing Lakers.

The Voyageurs secured their win with an early goal less than five minutes after kickoff. The goal came off the foot of Matthew Wilkes with an assist from Evan Stronach. As it were, the goal stood as the game's singular score. Laurentian keeper Connor Vande Weghe continued his strong play as of late with an impressive 17 save shutout.
The win put the Voyageurs back into the win column following last week's 1-0 loss at the hands of the Carleton Ravens. The victory also gives LU a record over .500 at 5-4, good for 4th place in the OUA's East division.
The Voyageurs are back in action tomorrow, October 2nd, in a road match against the undefeated Ryerson Rams (10-0).
