MSOC | Voyageurs Pick Up A Point in 1-1 Draw

MSOC | Voyageurs Pick Up A Point in 1-1 Draw
The Laurentian Men's Soccer team came away with one point in their 1-1 road draw against Trent Excalibur.

The point gives the Voyageurs 16 on the season and with Queen's having lost 2-0 today at Ryerson puts them ahead of Gaels for sole possession of fourth place in the OUA's East division.
Similar to their match earlier in the year in Sudbury, both squads were evenly matched in the stalemate. Though the Voyageurs were victorious at home, the road draw still earned the team a valuable point in their pursuit of a playoff berth.
All of the scoring came in the first half with Trent opening the game's goal account. The Vee's Ayden Meilleur responded with a goal of his own shortly after to ensure the tie. The goal was Meilleur's first of the season to go along with his two assists on the campaign.
The Voyageurs next game is a road match tomorrow against the UOIT Ridgebacks (3-7-2) who currently occupy the East division's final playoff spot.
