MSOC | Voyageurs Sweep Weekend Series

The Voyageurs men's soccer team enjoyed a perfect series at home as they finished the weekend sweep against the UOIT Ridgebacks Sunday afternoon, with a hard-fought 1-0 win.

Both teams traded offensive chances throughout the first half, but neither team could find the back of the net. It was much of the same story in the second half until the Voyageurs' Liam Ezzard netted his league-leading fifth goal of the season in the 62nd minute.

Goalkeeper, Connor Vande Weghe, was solid in net for the Voyageurs as he enjoyed his second shutout of the season, denying all 7 Ridgeback shots he faced.

The Voyageurs now travel to Carleton University this Friday to take on the 4-1-1 Ravens at Keith Harris Stadium, game time is set for 7:15pm.

Laurentian University's Department of Athletics is home to 23 varsity sports teams. The Voyageurs decorated history of pride and tradition includes 63 provincial championships as well as 10 national championships in 54 years of competition.
