The Voyageurs men's soccer team locked horns with the Queen's Gaels on Sunday, looking for their first win of the year. Despite a back and forth contest, a pair of goals in a span of eight minutes was enough for the Gaels to prevail, 2-0.
In another physical affair that saw a total of six cards dished out, the Gaels were the only team to find the back of the net with tallies in the 31st and 38th minute to secure the victory.
The Voyageurs now prepare for a home-and-home series with their northern rival, the Nipissing Lakers, when they visit North Bay on Friday at 7:15pm and return to Sudbury on Sunday at 2:15pm.
