WBB | Voyageurs Fall in Final Game of the Season

As they Voyageurs faced off against the Ryerson Rams for the second time this season, they were hoping to come out on top this time around. Though they battled hard throughout the game, playing well together for some exciting basketball, again the last quarter did the team in as they were outscored 27-15, ultimately falling to the Rams by a final score of 83-74.

Despite this marking the season end for Voyageurs, they did end on some high notes. Shooting percentage was impressive for the squad, especially from long range as they shot 42.3% from behind the arc. Two main contributors to this achievement were the backcourt duo of Andrea Zulich and Emily Tinnes who shot 6 for 12 and 3 for 6 from long range respectively. Graduating senior Adriane Bruni likewise shot 50% from the three knocking down two of her four attempts.

Leading scorer for Laurentian was third year guard Andrea Zulich who had a career high 20 points in the match. Another notable contribution came from veteran guard Emily Tinnes who had 18 points and 5 steals.

Top scorer for the Rams was Leyki Sorra with 22 points.

As mentioned, tonight's game marks the end of the season for the Voyageur Women.  As they end with a 5-17 record this year they improve on the past and will look to have a productive off-season to improve for the future.
