WBB | Lancers Out Duel Voyageurs

WBB | Lancers Out Duel Voyageurs

For their last pair of games of 2018, Laurentian was set to face off against the Windsor Lancers and the Western Mustangs on home court. Matching up against the Lancers first, the Voyageurs hoped to start their double header on a high.

It didn't seem good for the home team, who were short benched due to multiple injuries, as they were out worked out of the gate, leading to a 12 point advantage at halftime in the Lancers' favour. With a surge of energy in the third quarter, Laurentian was able to cut the lead to single digits. However this didn't last long, as Windsor hit back in the final minutes of the game, ultimately resulting in a 71-60 victory in the Lancer's favour.

Laurentian was led by their backcourt in the match as third year guard Kayla Deschatelets tallied 18 points and fifth year guard Emily Tinnes added 15 points of her own.

Leading scorer for Windsor was Carly Steer with 23 points.

Laurentian will look to refocus as they prepare for their last game of the year when they face off against the Western Mustangs tomorrow evening at 6pm at the Ben Avery Gymnasium.
