Bio

Stacey Colarossi enters her eighth season as the Head Coach of the Voyageurs Women’s Hockey Program, leading the team since its inaugural 2013-2014 season.


Colarossi brings a wealth of knowledge to the Voyageurs with over 15 years of coaching and instructional experience spread across the provincial, national, international, and university levels. Prior to becoming the founding women’s hockey coach at Laurentian, the Georgetown, Ontario native honed her craft as the lead Associate Coach of the York University Women’s Hockey Program for nine seasons.


She has had extensive involvement with the OWHA High Performance Program as an Assistant Coach for Team Ontario U18, making appearances at the National Women’s Under-18 Championship in Surrey, British Columbia in 2009 and Napanee, Ontario in 2010 and taking home a silver medal at the 2011 Canada Winter Games in Halifax, Nova Scotia.


The Head Coach for the U SPORTS Women’s Hockey All-Star Team at the annual Hockey Canada Summer Showcase in Calgary, Alberta from 2017-2019 has also experienced success on the international stage. Colarossi won a gold medal as an Assistant Coach for Team Canada at the 2011 FISU Winter World University Games in Erzurum, Turkey and led Canada to a silver medal finish as the Head Coach at the 2019 event in Krasnoyarsk, Russia.


Colarossi is Hockey Canada High Performance 2 certified and is currently completing the Hockey Canada Women Master Coach Developer program. She is highly regarded in the elite hockey community and is a tremendous asset to Laurentian University and the Voyageur athletics community.
