After battling it out on the water over the course of a week in Poznan, Poland, for Team Canada at the World U23 Rowing Championships, Charles Alexander and Hayley Chase returned home with performances they can be proud of.

After struggling to find a groove with his three other seatmates in the men's quadruple sculls to begin the regatta, Alexander and his team hit their stride when it mattered most, powering their way to a C Final victory.  That victory officially placed their boat 13th in the 18 country field.

Hayley Chase and her quartet found their mark a little quicker, finishing third in the women's quadruple sculls repechage to earn a spot in the A Final where they turned in a strong 5th place finish.

Alexander and Chase now return home and will gear up for the OUA season which begins in September.
