WSOC | Voyageurs Grab Three Points in Peterborough

In their second meeting of the season, the Voyageurs were once again victorious over the Trent Excalibur in a 2-1 contest.

 

The Vee's had a goal in each half, the first from Megan Ferguson and the second off the foot of Brianne Rodrigue. With their goals, both Ferguson and Rodrigue have two goals respectively on the season.

While the victory was not as convincing as their previous meeting with Trent (a 7-0 home victory), it was still good enough to nab all three points on the day. With season's end nearing, every point counts in the Voyageurs push for a third consecutive playoff berth. Laurentian currently sits in 5th in the OUA's East division, with the top six teams advancing to postseason play. The victory also improved the team's record to 6-5.

The Voyageurs will look to grab another three points tomorrow in a road match against the OUA's best and red hot UOIT Ridgebacks, who are currently ridding a 10 game win streak.
