WSOC | Jones Earns Shutout, Voyageurs Earn a Point

The women's soccer team hit the road on Saturday for their only game of the weekend, a visit to the Ontario Tech Ridgebacks.  After holding the Ridgebacks' offence at bay, the Voyageurs headed home with a point, earning a 0-0 tie.

In a game that saw the play concentrated mainly in between the 18-yard boxes, scoring chances were at a premium.  That did not prevent Hunter Jones, however, from making some saves when needed, turning away all five shots she faced.  Jones now sits second in the OUA with 54 saves through five games played.

With the point, the women find themselves still in the hunt for the playoffs, sitting six points back of a position with six games left to play.  The team hits the field again next Saturday when the visit the Carlton Ravens at 1pm.
