WXC | Voyageurs Narrowly Miss Podium, Finish Fourth at OUA Championships

The Voyageurs headed to London on Saturday to race in the OUA Cross Country Championships.  After placing 5th as a team a year ago, the squad was looking to match or even better their performance and the veteran squad ensured that the later would be the outcome.

The team was led by Megan Crocker and Jenny Bottomley, who finished 14th and 15th on the 8km race in times of 30:16 and 30:19, respectively.  Nicole Rich was the next Voyageur across the line in 30:59, good for 22nd place.  The scoring was rounded out by Jessie Nusselder and Pascale Gendron, who crossed the line in 37th and 38th place.  For her efforts, Crocker was also named a 2nd team OUA All-Star.

The squad will now prepare for the U SPORTS Championships on Nov. 10th at Queen's University in Kingston, ON.
