Laurentian Athletics is proud to announce that Voyageurs point guard, Abdulmajid Hassan (Milton, ON), has been named the BioSteel Male Athlete of the Week.
Hassan, a 2nd year Health Promotion student, was a strong, steady floor general for the Voyageurs all weekend. In a loss to Toronto Metropolitan on Friday, Hassan had 13 points while dishing out four assists.
On Saturday, Hassan upped the ante with a 13 point, 10 rebound double-double while handing out seven assists and recording three steals as the Voyageurs fell in a hard fought battle to the Toronto Varsity Blues.
Hassan and his teammates hit the court again this weekend when they host Waterloo on Friday and Wilfrid Laurier on Saturday. Game time is set for 8pm both nights.
