Laurentian Athletics is proud to announce that Voyageurs guard, Megan Axiak (Hamilton, ON), has been named the BioSteel Female Athlete of the Week.
Axiak, a 2nd year Concurrent Education student, was on fire for the Voyageurs on Friday night at Western. Coming in off the bench, Axiak went 5-8 from the field, all from deep, en route to a game high 16 points in just 19 minutes as the Voyageurs dropped a tough decision to the Mustangs.
In a dominating win on Saturday at Windsor, Axiak when 2-3 from deep, in limited minutes as the Voyageurs dismantled the Lancers.
Axiak and her teammates hit the court again this weekend when they host Toronto Metropolitan on Friday and Toronto on Saturday at 6pm both nights.
