Sydney Tabin, Women's Basketball
Laurentian Athletics is proud to announce that Voyageurs forward, Sydney Tabin (Saskatoon, SK), has been named the BioSteel Female Athlete of the Week.
Tabin, a 4th year Nursing student, had a strong pair of games for the Voyageurs on the weekend. In a hard fought loss to Toronto Metropolitan on Friday, Tabin had nine points and nine rebounds while handing out a pair of assists and swiping three steals.
In a well-deserved win on Saturday against the Toronto Varsity Blues, Tabin had a 16 point-11 rebound double–double, her first of the season, while recording another two assists and two steals.
Tabin and her teammates hit the court again this weekend when they host Waterloo on Friday and Wilfrid Laurier on Saturday. Game time is set for 6pm both nights.
