MSKI | Voyageurs Compete at OUA Championships, Finish 7th

The Voyageurs men's Nordic ski team competed at the OUA Championships in North Bay, ON, this past weekend and left town with a 7th place finish.

 

The Championship began with the 12km mass start classic race on Saturday.  Matteo Reich was the top Voyageur, crossing the line in 22nd place, 5 minutes back of the winner.  He was followed by Thomas Gore, Joshua Cartmell, Mitchell Slobodian and Colton Labine, who finished 29th, 38th, 39th and 44th, respectively.

 

On Sunday, in the 7.5km free race, Reich once again led the Voyageurs with his 19th place finish.  Gore followed close behind in 25th, Cartmell finished in 39th, Slobodian finished in 43rd and Labine finished in 45th.

 

The Championship wrapped up on Monday with the 3x3.75km free team relay.  The trio of Reich, Gore and Cartmell crossed the line in 10th place, 4:14 behind the winners from Carleton.

 

As a team the Voyageurs finished the Championship in 7th place.
