MSKI | Voyageurs finish 7th at OUA Championships

The Voyageurs men's Nordic ski team competed at the OUA Championships in Sault Ste. Marie, ON, this past weekend and left town with a seventh place finish.

 

The Championship began with the 10km free race on Friday.  Matteo Reich was the top Voyageur, crossing the line in 15th place, 3:20 back of the winner.  Augustin Marks de Chabris, Alastair Watson, Sebastian Tremblay, James Norrie, Mitchell Slobodian and Aidan McKenna, who finished 32nd, 36th, 41st, 43rd, 46th and 49th respectively, followed him.

 

On Saturday, in the 15km classic race, Reich once again led the Voyageurs with his 13th place finish.  Marks De Chabris followed in 30th, Watson in 32nd, Tremblay in 41st, Norrie in 42nd, Slobodian in 49th and McKenna in 53rd.

 

The Championship wrapped up on Sunday with the 3x5km classic team relay.  The trio of Reich, Watson and Marks de Chabris crossed the line in 12th place, 6:42 behind the winners from Carleton.

 

As a team the Voyageurs finished the Championship in 7th place.
