On the back of a loss the previous day at the hands of the TMU Bold the Laurentian Voyageurs Men's Soccer Team looked to bounce back Sunday afternoon against the 2nd placed team in the OUA East Division, the Toronto Varsity Blues.

As the game began the momentum instantly went the way of the home team as just 2 minutes in the Varsity Blues would take the lead before adding a second just 90 seconds later. From there the Blues would add another 2 goals and although Nico Patenaude was able to get one back for the Voyageurs the game was still well out of reach at 4-1 going into halftime.

As the second half started the Varsity Blues kicked it into overdrive as they were not satisfied with the 4-1 scoreline. This hunger along with the Laurentian defense being far too open and passive, culminated in Toronto putting up another 7 goals in the Voyageurs net as this second half domination would lead to an 11-1 victory for the Blues.

That loss would complete the Voyageurs regular season as they would finish with a record of 4 wins, 5 losses and 3 draws good enough for 6th place in the OUA East Division and earning themselves a first round playoff matchup in the nation's capital as they take on the Carleton Ravens in Ottawa next weekend.
