Bio

Head Coach, Dick Moss, has an extensive competitive and coaching background. In the 1970's, he was a member of the Canadian National team, national indoor champion and Olympic trials winner in the 800m. As a member of the powerhouse Univeristy of Wisconsin track team, he was an All-American and three-time Big Ten champion in the middle distance events, and NCAA relay champion.

A Level 3 coach in both distance running and the hurdles, he has been the founding coach with Sudbury's Track North Athletic Club for over 25 years. A former OTFA Coach of the Year, Sudbury Kinsmen Coach of the Year and member of Sudbury's Sports Hall of Fame, his club athletes have won over 30 medals in OFSAA track and XC competitions, medaled in national Junior and Senior championships and qualified for a number of Canadian national teams.

He stays current with the latest sports research through his job as publisher/editor of the peUpdate.com website, a resource that provides the latest sports information to coaches and PE teachers and. He is the author of two eBooks on running and his articles have appeared in sports publications around the world.

With an emphasis on individual as well as team improvement, he and assistant coaches Darren Jermyn and Lisa Labrecque, begin their thirteenth year at the helm of the Laurentian squad.
