WSKI | Voyageurs finish 7th at OUA Championships

The Voyageurs women's Nordic ski team competed at the OUA Championships in Sault Ste. Marie, ON, this past weekend and left town with a seventh place finish.

 

The Championship began with the 10km free race on Friday.  Jayde Hurley was the top Voyageur, crossing the line in 24th place, 5:40 back of the winner.  Hannah Cutler, Olivia Wolfram, Marina Tusz, Elizabeth Drake, Maryse Leveille, Faith Goudie and Logan Bach who finished 28th, 32nd, 33rd, 35th, 43rd, 44th and 49th, respectively, followed her.

 

On Saturday, in the 15km classic race, Cutler led the Voyageurs with her 26th place finish.  Leveille followed close behind in 27th while Tusz finished in 29th, Wolfram in 31st, Hurley in 33rd, Drake in 36th, Bach in 42nd and Goudie in 44th.

 

The Championship wrapped up on Sunday with the 3x5km classic team relay.  The trio of Tusz, Leveille and Cutler crossed the line in 10th place, 10:18 behind the winners from Lakehead.

 

As a team the Voyageurs finished the Championship in 7th place.
