Maddie Norman, Women's Nordic Skiing

Laurentian Athletics is proud to announce that Voyageurs Nordic Skier Maddie Norman (Ottawa, Ontario) has been named the BioSteel Female Athlete of the Week.

Norman, a third year Earth Sciences major competed at the LCS Cup this past weekend in their main tune up for the OUA Championships. With over twenty women competing in the University division, Norman was able to secure a second place overall finish, winning the individual and team sprint and finishing second in the 15-kilometre classic race with a time of 50:50, three minutes faster than the next skier.

Norman and her teammates will now return to training as they prepare for the OUA Championships in late February in Thunder Bay.
