Emilie Lafond, Women's Basketball

Laurentian Athletics is proud to announce that Voyageurs forward, Emilie Lafond (Sudbury, ON), has been named the BioSteel Female Athlete of the Week.

Lafond, a 4^th year Health Promotion student, led the Voyageurs to victory in their first game of 2024 at Lakehead.  Lafond had a team-high 22 points while pulling down nine rebounds and added a pair of assists, a steal, and a block to her stat line in the 61-51 victory.

Lafond and her teammates will now head to Ottawa to battle the Gee-Gees on Friday and the Carleton Ravens on Saturday.  Tipoff is scheduled for 6pm both nights.
