MBB | Ravens Prove Too Much for Voyageurs
In the midst of a three game losing streak, the Voyageurs Men's Basketball team looked to upset the always tough Carleton Ravens. Despite 20+ point outings from three different players, the Voyageurs were unable to take down the mighty Ravens, falling by a final score of 88-71.

Out of the gate, the Vee's looked poised on offense, executing their plays with relative ease against the Ravens stiff defense. When the plays broke down, guards Kadre Grey and David Aromolaran were able to pick up the pieces and seemingly create points out of nothing. On the other end, the Ravens looked off their game. Easy buckets were missed, the defense crumbled and lazy mistakes were made. Laurentian kept up their good offensive play for the entirety of the half, but Carleton took the lid of the basket late in the second quarter and took the lead into the half. The Ravens held this lead for the remainder of the game.

Following the break, the Voyageurs continued their recent trend of bad third quarters. Like in game's past, LU struggled to find points in the quarter. The Ravens made the switch to a high tempo offense, which proved to be too much for Laurentian's defense to contain. The Carleton lead, now at 18, was too great for the Voyageurs to overcome in the fourth. Ravens guard Connor Wood finished with an astonishing game high 39 points to lead his team to the 17 point victory.

The loss is now the Vee's fourth straight, and has knocked their record down to 2-4. The team hits the road for the final two games of 2016 to take on Laurier (4-3) and Waterloo (1-4).
