Coming off a strong performance the Voyageurs Men's Basketball team looked to carry the momentum with them to Kingston to take on the Queen's Gaels. Laurentian was able to pick up the win 85-64 to sweep the weekend's action.
From tipoff it was apparent that on this night it would be the Voyageurs who would best the Gaels. It was the backcourt duo of Kadre Gray and David Aromolaran that carried the Vee's in this game with 20+ point games a piece, continuing their excellent play this season. As a whole Laurentian was able to get the easy looks they wanted on offence and were able to limit Queen's attack to 38.5% shooting. The Gaels also hurt their own cause with 20 turnovers and shooting just over 50% on their free throws.
The Vee's come back to the Ben Avery next weekend for their final two home games of the regular season. The weekend's action gets underway Friday at 8PM in a matchup with the Lakehead Thunderwolves (3-10).
