Over the last weekend, The Voyageurs Men's basketball team had their last preseason Tournament before their season kicks off with a game against Laurier away next Sunday the 31st.
The Voyageurs' first game of the weekend was against Western on a Friday. The game was a thrilling 92-90 in favor of Western with an incredible defensive performance from 23 - Haroun Mohamed having five steals in the game. The Voyageurs almost had a late comeback in the fourth quarter out-scoring Western 33-18 but unfortunately, it was not enough to win the game.
The second it seemed the boys used the momentum they had from the fourth quarter of the last game in their second game against Waterloo completely blowing them out of the water winning 94-75 with Mohamed 41 pts making 4 3 pointers!
The last game of the weekend for the team was against Laurier with the game ending 98-82 in favor of Laurier. A slow start to the game for the Voyageurs really put them behind the 8 ball. There was a positive for the team with 22 - Caillou Lacroix having a great performance of the bench had a team-high 19 points.
