MBB | Balanced Attack Sees Voyageurs Sweep Lions

Back-to-back wins over the Lions for the Voyageurs with 4 starters all scoring double digits. The ball movement for the Voyageurs was too much for the Lions to handle with the team having 20 assists in the game.

The first half was a battle for the lead with both teams trading baskets amounting to 9 lead changes in the first half. In the second quarter for the Voyageurs, Kamil Dia Hantchi was a spark plug drilling 3 shots and converting on both his free throws. Despite this the game tied at half 39-39. In the 3rd quarter, the Voyageurs came out with a new sense of intensity on defense, locking down the Lions and forcing them to take bad low percentage shots resulting in the Lions shooting 27% from the field. Furthermore, the Voyageurs continue their tremendous team inclusive offensive having their highest-scoring quarter.

The deficit was too much for the Lions to overcome and the Voyageurs won the game by seven thanks to a team deflating type of 3 pointer by Curtis Gordon.

The Voyageurs' are back to .500 on the season and have a chance to continue their winning streak against the Ryerson Rams on March 5th at Ryerson.
