Following a massive win over McMaster, the men had an offensive explosion with a dominating 5-0 win over Algoma on Friday night.

The Voyageurs started the game off with bang, scoring after only 2 minutes of play with a goal from Giancarlo Galluzzo. The Voyageurs continue to control the game the entire first half and broke through late in the period, capitalizing on a counter attack with Edward Opoku-Dapaah scoring his first of the year with a beautiful assist from Ryan Jovanovich. In the last minute of the half, the Voyageurs had a great chance to make it 3-0 but the Algoma goalkeeper, Alexander Burt, made a incredible save to keep the game 2-0.

The second half began and play continued to be controlled by the Voyageurs with several solid chances to score coming from corners. The Voyageurs did not waste any time getting a third goal because in the 52nd minute Kyle Llamas cut across the top of the 18 and fired a shot low into the corner giving the keeper no chance of saving it.

The game was practically over by this point but that did not stop the boys from scoring two more. The fourth came in the 63 minute with Timi Aliu stripping the ball from an Algoma defender and scoring to make it 4-0. Just two minutes later, the blue and gold struck again with Opoku-Dapaah setting up Galluzzo for his second of the night.   Galluzzo's brace made it 5-0 for the Voyageurs and they cruised to victory from there.

The Voyageurs record improved to 2-2-0 and the men play again on October 15th against the Toronto Varsity Blues at home on the James Jerome turf.
