The Voyageurs indoor track and field team had six athletes competing on day one of the OUA Championships in Windsor.

The women's 1000 metre event was up first this afternoon, with third year Nursing student Kristen Mrozewski and fourth year ADVL student Sarah Booth representing the Voyageurs. Mrozewski finished the race in 17th place, with a time of 3:02.19, while Booth was right behind her, finishing in 18th with a time of 3:02.31.

The men's 3000 metre event was held shortly after, with fifth year Psychology student Keon Wallingford racing for the Voyageurs. Wallingford placed 2nd in his heat, with a time of 8:43.38, finishing 9th overall.

In the evening, the women's long jump concluded the field events, with first year Criminology student Shelley Hladin representing the Vees. Hladin improved on her ranking, finishing three places ahead, in 12th place with a jump of 5.21 metres.

The last event of the day was the men's 300 metre race, with third year Nursing student Brandon Radey and first year Criminology student Josh Kim competing. Radey finished the race with a time of 37.61, while Kim finished in 40.78.

The Voyageurs are back on the track tomorrow for day two of the OUA Championships, starting with the women's 600 metre finals at 12:00pm.
