WBB | Voyageurs Fall to Gaels

WBB | Voyageurs Fall to Gaels

After another close first couple of quarters, it appeared as if once again the third proved to be Laurentian's kryptonite as they were outscored by their opponents, the Queen's University Gaels 31-17. Though intensity increased in the last minutes, it was not enough for the Voyageurs, falling to their opponents with a final score of 90-58.

Despite the major size difference in Queen's favour, the Voyageurs improved their rebounding game from the previous night, however, struggled with shooting percentage, connecting on 35.5% of their field goals compared to the Gael's 56.5%.

Top performers for the Voyageurs were found in the backcourt duo of second year guard Kayla Deschatelets and fourth year guard Emily Tinnes who contributed 18 points and 13 points, respectively.

Leading scorer for the Queen's Gaels was Marianne Alarie with 21 points.

The Voyageurs will be on home court once again next weekend for a double header where they will take on the Ryerson Rams and the University of Toronto Varsity Blues. Tip off for the women is at 6 pm.
