The women's basketball team looked to rebound from last night's tough defeat when they hosted the Carleton Ravens in the Ben Avery on Saturday night.  After opening up a halftime lead, the Voyageurs saw the Ravens claw their way back in the second half and close the door, handing Laurentian a 69-63 loss.

The game was a back and forth affair from the opening whistle, with the teams going basket for basket.  On the back of Arielle Douillette's 3-4 shooting from three, the Voyageurs held a 20-18 lead after 10 minutes.  The back and forth continued in the second quarter until the late stages when the Voyageurs held Carleton scoreless over the final 3:38, growing their lead to five, 35-30.  Douillette's hot shooting continued as she finished the half with 14 points on 5-6 shooting.

Coming out looking to grow their lead in the third quarter, the Voyageurs shooting went ice cold in the frame, going just 3-17 from the field.  The Ravens, on the other hand, shot just shy of 50% and quickly turned their five point deficit into a seven point lead heading into the fourth.

In the fourth, it was Héléna Lamoureux and Carleton's Kali Pocrnic going toe to toe offensively, scoring 10 and 13 points in the frame, respectively.  Despite the Voyageurs shooting 67% in the frame and outscoring Ravens, it would not be enough as Carleton emerged with the 69-63 win.

Lamoureux and Douillette led the Voyageurs with 20 and 19 points, respectively, while Bailey Tabin ripped down 14 rebounds in the defeat.  The Voyageurs hit the court again on Friday when they visit the Western Mustangs at 6pm.
