MLAX | Voyageurs Close out Regular Season with Tough Loss to Varsity Blues

The Voyageurs men's lacrosse team closed out their regular season schedule with a tough 12-9 loss to the Toronto Varsity Blues on Saturday afternoon.

Voyageurs leading scorer, Sam Postma, opened the scoring just over two minutes into the game with his 27th goal of the season, but the Varsity Blues would follow that up with six unanswered goals to end the first, up 6-1.

The Voyageurs fought back in the second as they opened the quarter with two quick goals from Liam O'Donoghue and Postma and would trade tallies later in the quarter to battle back to a 7-4 spread.

Both teams would trade scoring opportunities in the remaining quarters, but the Voyageurs were unable to gain on the Varsity Blues lead.

The Voyageurs now wait to see when their first playoff game will be played (this weekend) and who their opponent will be.
