WNORDIC | OUA Championships Highlighted by Two Top 10 Finishes

The Laurentian Voyageurs women's nordic ski team made their mark at the OUA Championships this past weekend in Sault Ste. Marie, competing with some of the top athletes in Ontario. With solid performances across all events, the team showcased their strength and determination throughout the competition.
Friday's 15 km freestyle event set the tone for the weekend, with Sophie Tremblay and Margot West leading the charge. Tremblay secured an impressive 6th-place finish, while West was close behind in 7th. Olivia Norman also delivered a strong race, finishing 17th, followed by Grace Thomas in 25th.
On Saturday, the team took on the 12 km classic race. West continued to perform well, placing 16th, while Norman followed in 20th, and Thomas rounded out the group in 30th. Unfortunately, Tremblay was unable to finish the race.
Sunday's relay event capped off the championship weekend, with the women's A team consisting of West, Thomas, and Norman putting in a strong effort to secure 6th place in the standings.
The Voyageurs women's team displayed incredible tenacity and consistency all throughout the weekend, highlighted by Tremblay and West's standout top 10 performances on Friday. The team overall had a great weekend and managed to go toe-to-toe with some of the best team's in the province.
