MCURL - OUA Championships: Day #1

The Voyageurs men's curling team commenced their journey in the OUA Championships on Friday. The men started off with a win, followed by a tough loss later on.  

In their first match, the men faced Trent University. Since Laurentian started with the hammer, they were able to go up 1-0 after the first end. In the second end, Trent put up two points, giving them the lead. In the fourth and sixth ends is when the Voyageurs bounced back and put up two points on each end, giving them a one-point lead once again. In the end, Laurentian added two more points, claiming a 7-5 victory to start the tournament.

In their second match of the day, the men faced the University of Toronto, in what would be a devastating loss for Laurentian. With UofT starting with the hammer, they took advantage of it and put up two points in the first end. In the third end, the Voyageurs were able to put up the only point on their side, dropping the match 6-1.

The men are back in action on Saturday, with their first match at 9 am, followed by their second at 4 pm.
