In a field of 135 runners, third year nursing student Brandon Radey (Sudbury) paced the Vees with a 68th place finish in 28 minutes and 22 seconds Fourth year kinesiology student Patrick Leroux (Wingham) as the next Voyageur across the line in 75th place  in a time of 28:35. "The temperature jumped to around 30 degrees Celsius by the time the women raced today so I was pleased with how we managed the heat", noted Vees Head Coach, Darren Jermyn.  "Despite the warm temperatures, several of our veterans ran to new lifetime bests on this course, so that is a good indication of our current fitness. Both squads are ahead of where they were last year so we'll look to build upon that as the season continues."

The Vees will return to action next weekend, racing over six kilometres at the Don Mills Open at the University of Waterloo.
