WXC | Former Voyageur, Jennifer Dewan, Has Passed

The women's cross country and track programs lost one of their own on Saturday. Jenny Dewan Morson passed away at the young age of only 49. Jenny was a former OFSAA 1500m gold medalist and a star Laurentian runner from 1994-1998, during which she was an OUA Cross Country top-20 finisher three times and set a school record in the 600 metres as a member of the track & field team that still stands today. 

The current Laurentian team were informed Monday of Jenny's passing and held a moment of silence in her memory. A dedication to Jenny is now posted on the team's bulletin board at the LU indoor track. Our deepest condolences to Jenny's family and especially to our dear friend, supporter and Laurentian running alumnus, Mark Dewan, Jenny's brother.
