The men's soccer team hosted the Nipissing Lakers in their only game of the weekend on Saturday.  After a physical, card-filled affair, the game ended in a 1-1 draw.

The visitors opened the scoring in the sixth minute when Olutosin Ajakaiye headed the ball over the head of an on-charging Keiyan Ismaili and slid the ball into the open net.  The Lakers continued to press throughout the opening half but Ismaili shut the door.

Early in the second half, Ismaili lost out on a 50-50 ball inside the 18-yard box, giving up a penalty kick in the process.  Ismaili was bailed out by the crossbar, however, and that seemed to spark the rest of the team.  The Voyageurs started to up the pressure and become more deliberate in their attack.  The increased pressure finally paid off in the 80th minute as Jaiden Santo rose from the masses to head in the Nicolas Patenaude corner kick and tie the game at 1-1.  Despite continuing to push for the go ahead goal, the Voyageurs could not break through and the game ended 1-1.

The men hit the field next on Saturday and Sunday when they visit U of T and TMU, respectively.
