Voyageurs Weekend Preview: September 25, 2016

SUDBURY, ON – A quad of Voyageurs teams are in action on the road this weekend while men's lacrosse is the lone Voyageurs team competing at home, welcoming the Brock Badgers to LU Stadium on Sunday at 4pm.

The Voyageurs will be looking for some early season revenge against the Badgers as they look to improve upon last weekend's 13-7 loss in St. Catharines. In that game, the teams traded first-half offensive opportunities, with the Badgers dominating that department in the second. Veteran Mike Kussman and first-year Voyageurs Sam Postma and Adam Elinesky contributed on the offensive end with two goals each.

Postma currently leads all Voyageurs and CUFLA rookies with 15 points. The Voyageurs will be looking for multiple contributions on the offensive end as well as a strong defensive game if they want to stay competitive with the Badgers this weekend.

Voyageurs action takes place Sunday at LU stadium, game time set for 4pm.

Laurentian University's Department of Athletics is home to 23 varsity sports teams. The Voyageurs decorated history of pride and tradition includes 62 provincial championships as well as 10 national championships in 54 years of competition.
